Sulabh Jain is a strategic and results-oriented Engineering Leader with more than 17 years of experience driving enterprise software development, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives across the insurance and financial domains. He specializes in architecting and delivering cloud-native, mission-critical systems using the Microsoft technology stack including .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, and Azure while leading high-performing engineering teams through complex, multi-phase modernization programs.
Sulabh currently serves as a Business Applications Supervisor at Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies (BHHC), where he leads major system redesign and cloud-migration efforts. His recent work includes modernizing the organization’s Policy Administration System by transitioning legacy underwriting, billing, finance, and agency management applications to a microservices-based Azure architecture. His leadership in defining migration strategies, optimizing user workflows, and ensuring seamless cross-functional execution has significantly improved scalability, performance, and release velocity.
Before stepping into his supervisory role, Sulabh served as a Lead Software Engineer at BHHC, where he played a central role in architecting and delivering enterprise platforms such as the Audit Management Center (AMC), Claims Disbursement Center, and the Deductible Billing Center customer portal. His contributions included end-to-end solution architecture, process automation using Azure services, secure third-party integrations, and modernization of customer-facing applications using responsive design and React-based interfaces.
Earlier in his career, Sulabh worked with HTC Global Services Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer supporting BHHC. His key initiatives included the Payroll Reporting Portal (FlexPay), modernization of policy administration workflows, and automation of the System-Based Renewal Process (SBRP), integrating real-time rating bureau data from WCIRB and NCCI.
Prior to BHHC, Sulabh gained extensive technical experience through roles at LTI Mindtree Ltd., contributing to insurance policy rating systems, automated underwriting workflows, and high-volume batch processing frameworks for clients such as Travelers Inc. and Insurity Inc. His experience also spans large-scale document imaging systems for Washington State’s Medicaid Management program.
Throughout his career, Sulabh has consistently demonstrated strong expertise in cloud migration strategy, scalable architecture design, DevOps automation, and stakeholder-aligned solution delivery. He has earned multiple recognitions, including BHHC’s President’s Award for Growth (2018) and President’s Award for Service Excellence (2021).
Sulabh holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication from Samrat Ashok Technological Institute, India, and maintains professional certifications including Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 MCTS, ITIL-V3, and SAFe 4 Agile Practitioner.
