A former Naval intelligence officer and attorney in the Office of General Counsel for the NSA, Erik is well-positioned to help clients navigate complex cybersecurity and emerging technology challenges. Along with his law degree, Erik has a Master’s in Cybersecurity Law. As the head of Husch Blackwell’s Cybersecurity practice group, and the Cybersecurity Leader for the firm's AI practice group, Erik focuses on compliance requirements related to cybersecurity and data privacy with an emphasis on clients in critical infrastructure sectors and federal contractors. Clients appreciate Erik’s diverse perspective and first-hand experience having handled 28 data security incidents across 9 industry sectors in 2024.
