Explaining AI Cyber Risks to Your Board of Directors
About

This talk will equip you with the knowledge and skills for key board interactions, including: (1) when and what AI-related cybersecurity risks should be escalated to the board for fulfilling their fiduciary duties; (2) advancing AI-related cybersecurity best practices through informed decision-making through the lens of Responsible AI; and (3) initiating discussions about how advances in generative AI change the organization’s risk postures. In the presentation, a panel of cybersecurity and AI attorneys will discuss the new legal standards for director liability and offer perspectives on the changes in the relationship between the CISO and the board.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain the promise and perils of AI – in board-friendly language – to your board, both short- and long-term, and cut through AI hype to focus on best practices
  • Help your board navigate the broad mandates of the EU AI Act and U.S. equivalents
  • Understand their potential for liability under the new “mission critical” standard for directors and officers
