InfoSec World Event Code of Conduct

Ensuring a Positive Event Experience

We strive to create an environment where every participant can have a rewarding experience. Whether you are attending, speaking, sponsoring, or working with us, our goal is to foster an atmosphere of inclusion and benefit for all.

Safety, respect, and consideration are essential to this experience. While issues are uncommon, we want to clearly communicate our standards and expectations to ensure everyone’s actions positively contribute to the event.

This code outlines our expectations, rules for good behavior, and procedures for reporting any concerns. Anyone failing to adhere to these guidelines will be required to stop immediately and may be removed from the event.

Comfort & Safety at Live Events

  • Never act in a manner that jeopardizes the health, safety, or security of yourself or others.
  • Review and comply with local and national health guidelines before attending the event.
  • If you are experiencing symptoms that may pose a risk to others, please refrain from attending and contact the event team to explore alternative participation options.
  • Follow all health, safety, and security procedures, including emergency protocols and access restrictions. Do not assist others in circumventing these measures.
  • Do not alter or obscure safety signage, block exits, or misuse safety equipment.
  • Report any unsafe behavior, security risks, or hazards immediately to [email protected].

A Respectful Environment

We have zero tolerance for any form of verbal or physical threats, violence, abuse, or harassment at any event, including live, on-demand, official auxiliary events, and digital platforms. This includes:

  • Discrimination based on race, sex, age, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, disability, marital status, or any other protected category.
  • Sexual or objectifying language, clothing/outfits and/or imagery will not be tolerated during any part of the conference.
  • Offensive language and gestures, including verbal harassment, sexually explicit language, profanity, obscenity, and racial, religious, or ethnic slurs.
  • Intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning content, including inappropriate use of nudity or sexual images.
  • Sexual harassment, including inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention.
  • Stalking or behavior causing apprehension, including following, photography, and recording.
